Brickyard implements camera enforcement in the Batterij in Drimmelen

drimmelen #2

Brickyard is proud to announce that we have supplied and installed the cameras for the enforcement of the ban on trucks and buses in the Batterij in Drimmelen. This measure, implemented by the municipality, ensures that violators of the ban automatically receive a fine. Camera enforcement contributes to the improvement of the quality of life and road safety in the historic centre of Drimmelen, an area that is not suitable for heavy traffic. Trucks and buses must now use the Sluizeweg, Witteweg and/or Koekoekweg.

On Monday the 3rd of June, the cameras were installed and unveiled by alderman Tim Simons, under the watchful eye of a large delegation of local residents. At the same time, the signage was adjusted so that it is clear to everyone that camera enforcement is taking place. The cameras supplied by Brickyard only record the front of the trucks and buses. Any pedestrians and cyclists in the photo are automatically blurred by our advanced system. Our cameras only see the public road, which contributes to the privacy of bystanders.

We continue to work on innovative and privacy-conscious solutions that contribute to safety and liveability in municipalities.
