The bollard system, consisting of retractable poles in the core shopping area of Middelburg, has been replaced by automated enforcement with ANPR cameras from Brickyard.
A NEW ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM
The system of bollards in the central shopping area of Middelburg was more than 15 years old. It was clear that the system was ‘used up’. The number of breakdowns and maintenance costs increased and operation was therefore no longer guaranteed. A new enforcement system was necessary.
